New York City based Hair Stylist Jason j Dougherty is currently working on the Broadway Show Diana: A True Musical Story.  His other credits include The Cher Show, My Fair Lady, The Great Society and Margaritaville . His career began in this industry at Butterfly Studio Salon in 2012. During his 5 year employment he became a Level 2 Stylist and was featured in over 30 beauty and fashion publications. These include US Weekly, Lucky Magazine, Glamour, Redbook Mag, POPSugar, Hairbrained, Domino, Behind the Chair and Modern Salon. Jason’s technical discipline and creative eye stem from his 15-year long career as a professional dancer. As a member of the entertainment industry, performing in every epicenter the world over, he has a comprehensive understanding of beauty and its many points of view. To grow this knowledge and evolve his vision, Jason pursued expert training from the award-winning Arrojo Cosmetology School followed by a mentorship under renowned stylist Kattia Solano. These combined industry skills lend him a unique approach to each haircut, mastering the precision-based method while blending his personal freehand technique to create beautiful, wearable, fashionable hair. Jason's extensive visual style bank translates and transcends into all walks of life, from the everyday get-up-and-go options to high fashion and editorial looks. Taking inspiration from Guido Palau, Orlando Pita, John Sahag, and Oribe, he continues the endless search for beauty around every corner. For the energy and spiritually minded, Jason is also a level 3 Reiki practitioner. He loves to combine the healing properties to a fresh haircut providing clients with a positive shift in energy that flows from the inside out.
